What is Lucha?
Our founders answer the question
More than looking for startups, we're looking for stellar founders who create impact.
We place great emphasis on the capabilities and activist orientation of individuals, as they are the primary predictors of project success. That said, the companies we partner with must be focused on reducing social inequalities (access gaps) or combating climate change (carbon sequestration).
We start from the belief that providing capital is necessary but not enough to take startups to the next level. Our value proposition to founders is to support them through 5 key pillars that increase the chances of success — both in business and impact — for their startup. These 5 pillars are:
1. Impact modeling: We develop a deep understanding of the social or environmental problem the founder is solving in order to jointly model and measure their impact in a tangible and scalable way.
- Strategic storytelling: We co-create an impact-driven narrative that deeply resonates with users, investors, and talent.
- Leadership capacity building: We enhance their capabilities to help them inspire their team and foster a vibrant culture within their organization.
- Connections and transactions: Leveraging our collective network, we enable transactions with key stakeholders to boost the impact and growth of their startup.
- Levantamiento de capital: Through our fund, we invest early-stage capital of up to USD 150K. Additionally, startups will have access to our network of angel investors to strengthen their mission.

Our investment of up to USD 150K is milestone-based and provided throughout the acceleration program. In exchange for this capital and services, Lucha takes an equity stake.
We recognize the importance of capital in the growth of a startup, but we also firmly believe that it must be accompanied by a solid impact model, an inspiring story, and conscious leaders to increase the chances of success for the startup.
