Excuela
Productivity through learning.
Millions of people work every day to keep the world running… yet no one teaches them how to grow. Excuela was born to change that. From Peru, this social impact EdTech brings mobile education and relevant training to operational workers and people at the base of the pyramid, even in contexts without internet or with limited technology.
With a lightweight, interactive, and offline-capable app, Excuela enables learning from any cellphone. Its courses are designed in micro-learning modules, with interactive questions that foster habit, motivation, and real development. Because learning shouldn’t be a privilege: it should be part of work.
Its technology is designed for mid- to low-range cellphones and low data consumption, removing barriers that often exclude those who most need opportunities. Additionally, it provides reports, support, and communication tools that build community.
It has already impacted more than 30,000 people, been selected for the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200, and is executing a project with MIDIS that will reach more than 850,000 Peruvians. All this from a clear mission: empowering the invisible worker.
Founded by Gonzalo Yrigoyen and José Luis Gamboa, Excuela shows that education can come down from the podium and reach directly into the hands of those who need it most.
